Achmelvich Bay, with its beautiful white sandy beach and stunning turquoise waters, is the one place on Earth I find a real sense of peace. The ebb and flow of the waves, often reflects the turmoil crashing through me, as life pulls me in all sorts of directions. Just sitting on one of the rocks, watching the push and pull of the waves on the sand, seems to ground my emotions. The incredible sense of gratitude I feel being there, helps dissipate all my jumbled thoughts and concerns. Even on stormy days, when the sea is crashing on the shoreline, there is a realisation of a world outside myself, I have no control over. A sobering reminder to just 'let it go'.
