Early last year, when Tidal Gifts was in its very early stages, we sat down and established a clear vision for our company. A key part of our vision and dream for our business would be that we would be committed as a company and as individuals to ‘do some good’ so to speak. It was at that time that we decided we not only wanted to commit ourselves to participating in environmental practices, where possible, but that we also wanted to support a number of charities throughout our journey. More specifically we want to contribute financially and hope that our patrons will also feel led to contribute towards the charities which are concerned with the development of the local community, the conservation of our oceans and basically anything to do with the sea.
With this vision in mind, the charity we have chosen to support this year (2018) is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The RNLI is a charity which is devoted to saving lives at sea. They do so in a number of ways including safety education and the completion of search and rescue manoeuvres.
As a family we have spent many hours at sea or in the water surrounding Achmelvich (where TG is based) and on numerous occasions have witnessed the necessity of the RNLI and its valued work.
We would like to encourage you to take some time and consider donating through the official RNLI Website: https://rnli.org/ or alternatively if you are in our store you can donate into our official RNLI collection tin which we will then return to the RNLI at the end of the 2018 season.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our commitment to supporting the RNLI.
